Maida Dosa / Flour Crepes

Dosa is a very healthy breakfast in most south indian homes.There are various varieties of Dosas that can be prepared. Some of them need the traditional soaking and grinding of ingredients while some are just a mixture of various flours such as Ragi /Nachni(Finger Millet) , Wheat flour,Maida / APF.
These flours are mixed in certain proportion with rice flour and some other spices to make yummy dosas. Can be served with chutney,sambar or the traditional Idli / Dosa Molagapudi.

Cooking Time : 7-8 mins
Serves : 2-3
Maida Dosa / Flour Crepes

Ingredients


1 cup maida /APF
1 cup Rice flour
1 tbsp Rava / Semolina
1 tbsp yogurt
3-4 green chillies finely chopped
Curry leaves finely chopped
Corriander /cilantro finely chopped
Cashew nuts finely chopped into small bits(optional)
1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
Salt
pinch of asafoetida

Method

  • In a huge mixing bowl,add the maida,rava,salt and rice flour with a cup of water and yogurt and mix well.
  •  Add the rest of the ingredients and prepare a batter. Consistency should be a little thinner than the usual Dosa batter.
  • Adjust water accordingly and set aside the batter for about 15 -20 mins.
  • Heat a tawa/griddle.
  • Pour a ladle full of the batter.Donot spread too much like that of the regular dosa.
  • Drizzle a little oil and cook on both sides.
  • Serve hot with accompaniment of your choice.
